We’re extremely delighted to announce the details of the upcoming $GRASS airdrop and the token’s utility.

First, we want to thank all GOAT Tribe NFT holders and community members for your passionate support of our project. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Now, without further ado, read on to learn about what $GRASS is, how you can get your hooves on some, and how you can use it.

What Is $GRASS?

GRASS is the GOAT Tribe’s utility token, holding various uses within our dedicated GOAT Tribe Marketplace and our strong community.

$GRASS utility includes:

• Marketplace Fee Reduction: The first utility of $GRASS is as the GOAT Tribe Marketplace’s native token. Holders of $GRASS will be able to cover up to 25% of transaction fees with the token.
• Purchasing Token: We’re looking into ways that the token can be used in transactions on all marketplaces. In the long run, we’re also investigating the possibility of $GRASS being used to purchase physical items from our store.
• Community Interaction: To help onboard users and engage through distribution, $GRASS will also be democratically distributed to those who engage and interact within our ecosystem.
• Burning Mechanism: $GRASS tokens used by holders to reduce our marketplace’s fees will be smoked every 18 epochs, removing them from circulating supply.

How Do Goats Get $GRASS?

We pretty sure this is what you’ve been bleating to know since we first announced the existence of $GRASS.

$GRASS will be exclusively available to GOAT Tribe original collection NFT holders. For every NFT you hold in your wallet, you’ll be able to earn 271.8 $GRASS tokens.

To determine exactly who is eligible to receive $GRASS, we’ll be taking a snapshot on May 30th, 2022. This will be an automatic process and will not require any holder interaction.

Soon after we’ve confirmed which wallets get access to $GRASS, our community will be able to claim the token through the DripDropz platform.

What Are $GRASS’s Tokenomics?

There are only 27,182,818 $GRASS tokens in existence. These were first created on 21st April 2022.

Please note that there will be no public sale of $GRASS tokens.

Of this total token supply, $GRASS tokenomics are broken down into the following chunks:

60% (16,309,691) to the GOAT Tribe community:

• 10% as an airdrop to GOAT Tribe NFT holders.
• 30% released to stakepool delegates as an initial stake pool offering (ISPO).
• 20% held by the treasury to reward users for supporting The Tribe.

35% (9,513,986) to be retained by the team:

• 15% locked for our founders and vested over a 3-year period.
• 10% locked for the development & operations team.
• 10% reserved for marketing and promotion.

5% (1,359,141) to provide liquidity and listing fees to exchanges
